Ok, so this chapter is going to be about both Tyra's and Ryan's first mission with the Young Justice League (YJL) and I might be adding a new charrie in next chapter as well, and she will belong to Flamebird so yea, enjoy! :D Oh yea, btw, this chappie is about episode 7: Denial.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Initiate conduct training, 3....2.....1," Called the system as Aqualad and Superboy started sparring, while I stood with Artemis and Megan.

"Kaldur is ah, nice, don't ya think?" The blond asked, looking toward the brunette and I. "Handsome, commanding, you should totally ask him out" she continued with a smile, looking directly at Megan.

"He's like a big brother to me, but you know who would make the cutest couple? You and Wally." Megan said smirking, looking towards KF as she spoke, only to see him stuffing himself with food.

"Your so full of passion, and he's so full of..uh, of it," she said as we all started laughing, with Ryan joining us on the side.

"Nah, I bet Ryan and Wally would make the perfect little couple," I said as Ryan pounced on me, while blushing as well.

"Aww, she's blushing!" Artemis said out loud as we all laughed more, with Ryan sulking.

"I reckon that Robin and Tyra would be a cute couple," Megan called while grinning, which made me join the sulking and blushing Ryan.

"Fail: Aqualad," the computer stated, making all of us turn to the once dueling boys.

"Black Canary taught me that," Conner said proudly while dusting off his hands and smiling. Right then, Red Tornado came in through the ceiling, with Kid Flash running up to him.

"Do you have a mission for us?" he asked, with a hopeful look gracing his features.

"Mission assignments are the Batman's responsibility" RT stated, looking down at the young red-head.

"Yeah, well, the Batman's with the Robin doing the Dynamic Duo thing in Gotham, but you're headed somewhere right? Hot date, or a, a mission" he countered as he stretched out the word "mission", while also pointing at the robot in front of him.

"If we can be of help," kaldur said as a screen came up, showing an old man.

"This is Kent Nelson, a friend, he is One hundred and six years old."

"Guy doesn't look a day over ninety," Wally spoke, causing Ryan and I to snicker at the red-heads joke.

"And he has been missing for twenty-three days, Kent was a charter member of the Justice Society, the pre-cursor to your mentor's Justice League." Red Tornado continued, ignoring KF.

"Of course, Nelson was Earth's sorcerer supreme,"

"He was Doctor Fate," I continued for Kaldur, while smiling slightly as Ryan rose her brow, giving me a suspicious look.

"More like Doctor Fake, guy used a little advanced science and "Dumbledore's it up" to scare the bad guys and impress the babes," Wally whispered to Artemis, as Red Tornado continued.

"Kent may simply be on one of his....walkabouts, but he is caretaker to the Helmet of Fate, the source of the Doctor's mystic might, and it is unwise to leave such power, unguarded." The tin man said seriously, as I whispered to Ryan while grinning-

"Sounds like an old man who forgot to take his head, to me."

"He's like the great sorcerer of priests and priestesses of Mars, I would be honored to help find him," Megan stated with a small, sincere smile.

"Me too, so honored I can barely stand it. Magic rocks" Wally called while sticking his hand up in the air, and smiling, making Ryan and I snicker, and Artemis look away, unimpressed.

"Take this, it is the key to the Tower of Fate," Red Tornado said as Kaldur took the key from his hand.

"What are the chances we both so admire the mystic arts?" KF asked, obviously trying to impress Megan.

"As if," Ryan whispered as we both rolled our eyes at the red-head.

*~*~*

"So Wally, when did you first realise your...honest affinity for sorcery?" The blond asked, tyring to find the right words to use.

"Well, I uh, don't like to brag but uh, before I became Kid Flash, I seriously considered becoming a wizard myself," Wally replied, hands behind his head, and looking up at the ceiling of the bio-ship. Artemis rolled her eyes at the 15 year old, who was still trying to impress the Martian.

"Typical teenage boys," Ryan and I stated at the same time, shrugging our shoulders while doing so.

There was a moment of silence, before Megan spoke up, declaring we had reached Red Tornado's coordinates.

"Nothings there," Connor stated as we flew over our destination, making me think that we had the wrong place.

"Take us down," Aqualad commanded as the bio-ship went down to land, only for a certain cat to see us and run off to find his owner.

*~*~*

"Nothing," Wally said as he came to a stop in front of Artemis. "This isn't simple camouflage," he continued as I walked up beside the two.

"So what do you think? Adaptive micro-optic electronics, combined with face shifting?" I asked, while standing beside the blond,.

"Wait, Adaptive micro-what?" Ryan asked with a confused face, as she looked to me with a brow raised, (That rhymed xD) she never was good with science.

"Absolutely..." Wally said with a smile, "Not. Clearly mystic powers are at work here," he continued as Megan walked up to us, making us all give him a dead-pan look, not amused by what he was doing.

"Hey Abracadabra, (sp?) aren't you using Adaptive micro-optic electronics and face shifting?" Klarion The Witch Boy asked the tall and muscular man beside him, as they appeared out of nowhere with Doctor Fate tied up, but out of our view.

"Yes," he replied while looking away slightly.

*~*~*

'A test of faith,' Aqualad thought as he looked at the gold key, spotting the word 'insert' which was imprinted on it.

"Stand behind me," he ordered as he moved in front of us, putting the key in to the invisible keyhole, and with a 'click,' the tower appeared out of no where, surprising Ryan as she was still confused. Kaldur opened the door and all of us trailed in behind him, not wanting to be left behind.

"Uh, wher'ed the door go?" Connor asked as a man who resembled Kent Nelson appeared before us.

"Greetings, you have entered with a key but the tower does not recognise you, please state your purpose and intent," the hologram said as it looked at us expectantly.

"We are true believers, here to find Doctor Fate," Wally said, looking at Megan then stepping up and smiling, making the hologram give him a strange look before disappearing, along with the floor beneath us, making us all scream as we fell closer and closer to the boiling lava.

Megan grabbed on to Kid Flash as Artemis used one of her arrows to keep her from falling, grabbing Kaldur along the way. Connor gripped the side of the wall, using his fingers to stop him, but yelled when his feet touched the lava, instantly burning his shoes off, but leaving his skin untouched, where as I used my kunai to dig into the rock wall, leaving Ryan to grab onto me, before she fell in to the lava pit.

"Those..were my favourite boots," Conner stated, looking down at where his shoes had been only moments before. "This Nelson guy better be worth it," he continued with a hint of a growl.

"Seriously?! We could have died, and you're upset cause your favourite boots were diminished?! Come on!" I yelled at the dark haired boy, struggling to hold on because of the extra weight on my back, pulling me downwards.

"Why are you so heavy Ryan?! GOD! I screamed as I readjusted my hands to stop from slipping.

"Well I'm sorry that I forgot to bring my sword okay?!" she screamed back in my ear, making me wince.

*~*~*

"Having trouble, of maintaining altitude," Megan stated while trying to keep both her and Wally up and out of the fiery pit below. "Ugh, so hot," she said, wiping the sweat off of her forehead, nearly reaching to where I was situated with Ryan clinging onto my waist, our feet dangling.

"You certainly are," KF said, now going past down past Artemis and Kaldur.

"Wally!" She yelled, not amused by his antics.

"HEY, inches above sizzling death, I'm entitled to speak my mind," he yelled, proving his point while giving Artemis a certain look that made her shut up.

"My physiology, and M'gann's are susceptible to extreme heat, we must climb out quickly!" Kaldur grunted while he wiped his head, getting rid of the beads of sweat littering his forehead.

"Yea, what he said!" Ryan yelled, agreeing with Aqualad instantly.

"Hello Megan, we never truly answered the question" the brunette stated as they descended towards the lava, "Red Tornado sent us, to see if Mister Nelson, and the Helmet of Fate, were safe" she called, making sure that she was heard, and her plea was answered as the floor closed over, making the young teens drop to the ground, Connor being the first to land on his feet, then Megan and Wally dropped on to the floor on their stomachs, Ryan and I fell onto our backs, and Kaldur and Artemis landed on their feet.

"This platform, it should be red hot, but it is cool to the touch," the leader stated, while kneeling over and touching the wood of the floor.

"Don't worry Megalicious, I gotcha," Wally stated while he and the brunette stood.

"Enough! Your little "Impress Megan At All Costs" game, nearly got us all barbecued," Artemis shouted, obviously agitated at the young boy, while pushing him back.

"When did this all become, my fault?"

"When you lied to that...whatever it was and called yourself a "true believer"." She countered as I stepped up.

"You mean the hologram?" I asked, amused by her sudden outrage, although, I didn't believe in magic either, I still found it funny.

"Whatever!" She yelled at me, causing me to smirk with triumph, it was fun to mess with people.

"Wally, you don't believe?" Megan asked, a little surprised that the brunette had been lying.

"Fine, fine, I lied about believing in magic, but magic is the real lie, a major load." He replied angrilly.

"I definitely have to agree, science is the answer to...almost everything..." I said awkwardly, shifting my eyes from left to right.

"Wally, Tyra, I studied for a year at the conservatory of sorcery in Atlantis, the Mystic Arts created the skin I conjured that power my water bearers." Kaldur explained to us, trying to get us to understand that magic exists.

"Dude, have you ever heard of bio-electricity? Hey, and in primitive cultures, fire was once considered magical too. Today it's all just a bunch of tricks." Wally said, still not believing anything about magic.

"Oh, and healing was also considered witchery, which it wasn't." I stated, supporting Wally on our hypothesis.

"You're pretty close minded for a guy who can break the sound barrier in his sneakers, and you are too for someone who can use lightning Tyra," Artemis said, looking from Wally to me.

"How did you know that?" I asked getting angry as Ryan held me back, sure, I can use lightning, but  never do, not after I accidentally zapped my father once, putting him into his bed for a few days to get over the "shock".

"That's science, I recreated Flash's laboratory experiment and here I am. Everything cane be explained, by science," Wally said slowly, trying to get them to realise what we thought was true.

"And I kinda did the same thing, just with another person's experiment," I commented quietly, ashamed that somebody knew about my lightning, probably the time I caused a black out, it was only an accident, I just hit a lamp, and everything went out, but not without me noticing a spark, and obviously Artemis saw it too.

"Let us test those theories," Kaldur said as he was about to open a door.

"Wait, the back draft from the lava will roast us alive!" We  shouted just as the hatch was opened, with snow coming from the outside weather.

"It's snow," Megan stated as she put her hand out to feel the little white specks.

"Do you ever get tired of being wrong?" The blond asked with a slight smirk, glancing at us both.

"You only proved me wrong twice," I pouted, turning my head away with a slight blush. We all jumped through the door, and had to roll so that we landed on our feet, and not our backs. When we were all through the door closed, and everyone looked at us expectantly.

"Well?" Artemis asked.

"Ever hear a String Theory? We're in a pocket dimension," Wally stated, while using hand movements to emphasise his point.

"Ugh!" Artemis yelled frustrated, while sending a glare at us both.

"You'll never get them to believe, so don't even try," Ryan said as she smirked, she liked seeing people get angry, that was what connected her to Joker, always happy when someone else was upset.

"What's that?" Megan asked, pointing to the cane that was levitating about the snowy ground.

"ooh, maybe it's Nelson's magic wand," the red-head said sarcastically as Artemis and he walked towards the floating object, and I started laughing.

"NO! IT'S HARRY POTTER'S!" Ryan yelled as she glared at Wally, making me laugh even harder. Artemis and Wally both grabbed the cane at the same time.

"I got it, ugh, I can't let go!" they shouted as they were lifted up and disappeared. Connor, Megan, Kaldur, Ryan and I all looked at each other.

"I still don't believe," I said, staring up at the night sky as Ryan face-palmed herself.
